Barcelona
…La Rambla, Barcelona’s enchanting pedestrian walkway cuts through the city from the water as a straight, deliberate expression of a wanderer’s rights.
…to the wide-open street lined with the motions of the pretty people of the Spanish Mediterranean, the easy, comforted lot who personified the New Europe. In every direction there were artists, eateries, and shops in and around trees for over a kilometer through the heart of the city.
