To help get you started, and to set the scene, below are descriptions from my books of some of the world’s most amazing destinations. These clips are to help you learn about the location, prep for your travels and drive up your excitement about a specific place.
Constanta
Long a vacation destination for Soviet-era Eastern Europeans who had few other beachside settings to visit, Romania’s second largest city, the Black Sea port of Constanta initially appeared to Karlie, Jessie and Nicholas as a string of hotels fronting a defined waterfront. But the city was actually two distinct parts. A narrow north-south strip of bustling beach front hotels sporting luxury names like Malibu, Hawaii, Golden Palace and Phoenicia in tourist-drenched Mamaia. And the once graceful old city lying next to the busy industrial seaport and backed up by dusty suburbs of grey-block flats.
The Romanian side of the Danube River contained ongoing stretches of marshlands with few dry areas for settlement. The northern river route was sparsely populated, and the roads connected rural villages leading, for the most part, south to more developed areas

You can obtain an idea of the impact of the world market along the Danube Delta waterfront in Tulcea, Romania. In this city, you can catch a boat to take you through the delta’s reeds and marshlands linking Europe’s second longest river to the Black Sea. The boats ferry tourists from a riverside boardwalk into the waters. If you miss the boat, you can turn around and select a quiet bar or seafood restaurant from among the many options lining the walkway. To decide which place may provide you with the coldest beer or freshest fish, you will likely look at travel guides or travel advice websites online. Almost every location has posted favorable reviews from visitors.
