PANAMA
Where is the crossroads of the world?
For many, Panama is a solid geographic choice. The narrow Central American nation was made famous by its canal linking the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. Global shipping passes from one side of the world to the other, shortening the length of time it takes to go above, below or around another way.
Panama also connects the North American continent to South America. If you are standing in the center of the canal, you can jump on a highway that will take you north to Alaska or (theoretically) south to Argentina, or a ship to take you east or west, and reach out to the world.
As you travel under the Bridge of the Americas, you see both the verdant green tropical trees of the original landscape, and the sparkling steel and glass skyscrapers of a promising future.
– Describing Panama in Life Dream: 7 Universal Moves to Get the Life You Really Want through Entrepreneurship by Case Lane
Place: República de Panamá, Republic of Panama, at the southern end of Central America
Visited: Once through the Canal only
Most Recent Visit: TBD
Original sites: Manageable
Familiarity: High
English usage: Scattered
Surprise: The skyscraper lined skyline of the capital city makes the country appear to be the most advanced and modernized in the region
For Rising Entrepreneurs Expanding to Global Markets: Probably the easiest place to start if you are interested in reaching out to a Central American audience. Panamanians are more prosperous than their neighbors and have been enjoying relative stability. The challenges of finding reliable, trustworthy partners and help still remain.
